This album was recorded for the 2013 RPM Challenge (record an album's worth of music during February). I'd recently bought an iPad Mini and downloaded the free version of the Beatwave app which is a great little sequencer type instrument. I really like the simplicity of it and decided to record an improvisation with it. 36 minutes later, ColliderHope was recorded. I had to edit out one bar where my laptop got upset about recording such a long piece, but otherwise there are no overdubs or edits in this piece.

This album is unlike anything I've recorded before - no bass, no guitars, just the iPad.

As 36 minute tracks aren't for everyone, the album consists of the improvisation edited into 8 sections and then the total track for those who want to hear the entire uninterrupted piece.
