Every year, I try and arrange a Christmas tune for solo bass, with a transcription then being made available to everyone on my mailing list*. This year I've gone for O Holy Night, a traditional carol which I absolutely love.
Geeky stuff : The track was recorded on Dec 6 2009 in one take with a couple of little fixes. I used my Squier VM Jazz plugged direct into my laptop.
The track actually features three copies of the bass track - the clean DI is in the centre, with everything above about 10kHz rolled off, and there are two copies panned hard left and right which have a little reverb and some high pass filtering. There's no compression or limiting added.

Hope you enjoy and Merry Christmas!
